Elbert Williams, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Associate Program Director of the school’s Integrated Thoracic Surgery Residency program, and Director of The Mount Sinai Hospital’s Aortic Aneurysm Surveillance Program.
As a surgeon, Dr. Williams focuses primarily on aortic procedures. He performs the Ross procedure, valve-sparing root replacements, aortic arch and hybrid arch repairs, replacements of aortic aneurysms, as well as Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) procedures.
Over the past decade, Dr. Williams’ surgical experience has helped inform his academic research, which focuses on clinical outcomes in aortic reconstructive surgery and improving lifetime management of aortic valve disease.
