Woodrow Farrington II, MD, is an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery of the Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. He joins the distinguished faculty of the Emory Clinic and will see patients at the Heart & Vascular Center at the Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital location. Before joining Emory in 2020, Dr. Farrington completed his undergraduate studies at Auburn University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, obtaining degrees in accounting and biology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, where he also completed his general surgery residency. He completed his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and remained to complete an advanced aortic surgery fellowship.
