Jarrod Predina, MD, MTR, is a Board-Certified General Thoracic surgeon and Assistant Professor of Surgery at the at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He has expertise in treating benign and malignant diseases involving the lungs, esophagus, trachea, pleura, chest wall. Dr. Predina specializes in thoracic oncology and treats tumors involving lung, mediastinum, esophagus, trachea, pleura and chest wall. He also has extensive experience managing patients with benign conditions including tracheal stenosis, tracheobronchomalacia, thoracic outlet syndrome, hiatal hernia, chest wall deformities and hyperhidrosis. Dr. Predina also has an active laboratory which has two focuses (1) developing novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for thoracic malignancies and (2) studying benign tracheal diseases including tracheal stenosis and tracheobronchomalacia. He has led multiple clinical trials in these areas. Dr. Predina has over 70 peer reviewed publications including reports in Clinical Cancer Research, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and Nature Medicine.
