I am a pediatric cardiac surgeon whose area of excellence is clinical investigation. I have over 15 years of research experience encompassing the period of my residency training and current faculty position. I have been actively involved in research and teaching throughout my career and as faculty I have mentored undergraduate premed students and medical students through summer internships in outcomes research and residents and fellows during their rotation at my institution. I have successfully graduated with an MPH degree from the Harvard TH Chan school of public health, with my area of interest being clinical effectiveness. My primary research focus has been clinical outcomes and quality improvement in congenital cardiac surgery. I have collaborated with researchers in my hospital and across centers to understand factors that determine outcomes after pediatric heart surgery.
