I am an adult and pediatric cardiac surgeon at the Johns Hopkins Hospital with a special interest in aortic disease associated with connective tissue disorders, particularly the Marfan syndrome and Loeys-Dietz syndrome, and in the application of valve sparing aortic root replacement in the young. I am a past president of the AATS.
