Robert M. Van Haren MD, MsPH is Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Cincinnati. He is the Director of the mutlidsicplinary Esophageal Disease Center at the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center. He is the Program Director of the Integrated Thoracic Surgery Residency. He is the Director of
Cincinnati Research in Outcomes and Safety in Surgery laboratory. His clinical expertise is in treating patients with thoracic malignancy such and lung and esophageal cancer, as well as benign conditions including gastroesophageal reflux disease and tracheobronchomalacia. His research is focused on developing interventions to reduce racial disparities for patients with lung and esophageal cancer.
