Andrew Dhanasopon, MD FACS is a board-certified Thoracic Surgeon with Yale-New Haven Health, and is Clinical Site Director for Thoracic Surgery at VA Hospital West Haven in Connecticut. He is Associate Professor of Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine and is an Associate Program Director for the Yale Cardiothoracic Surgery residency and fellowship programs. His clinical interests include thoracic oncology of the lung and esophagus and benign esophageal diseases, and offers state of the art minimally-invasive robotic approaches. His academic interests include quality improvement of thoracic surgical care and curriculum development for cardiothoracic trainees. He has published over 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals and books and regularly presents at local and national meetings.
