Stephen Yang MD. MAMSE is Professor of Surgery/Oncology and the Arthur B. and Patricia B. Modell Endowed Chair in Thoracic Surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, and has a busy general thoracic surgical practice focusing on robotic approaches for lung, esophageal and mediastinal resections. His research interests lie mainly in surgical education, translational research of cDNA for lung cancer, and outcome analysis of robotic surgery. He is the creator of "Histweets", providing cardiothoracic surgical milestones through Twitter. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of Faculty Development/Education for the Department of Surgery. and an elected member of the ACS Academy of Master Surgeon Educators. He served as immediate Past Examination Chair and Editor-in-Chief of SESATS XIII for the ABTS, a member of the RRC for the ACGME, President-Elect for the TSDA, past Chair of the Medical Student Education Committee for the ACS, Education Section Editor for the JTCVS, and immediate Past-President of the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association.
