Adult cardiac surgeon for the past 16 years. General surgery training at University of Illinois at Chicago. Thoracic surgery fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Clinical interest in surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation (AF), structural heart, coronary artery and aortic diseases. Academic focus on clinical outcomes, aortic and left atrial computational modeling, multidisciplinary programs development, research mentoring of medical and PhD students. In 2022, I contributed to the development of a robotic-enhanced approach to hybrid ablation of AF and am currently working on building an entirely advanced practice practitioners led multidisciplinary model of AF surgical program. Avid marathon runner (completed all 6 World Major Marathons and currently progressing through running in all 50 States). Devoted father and improvable husband.
