Out Patient Clinical Coordinator
CV Surgery
PENN Presbyterian Medical Center
I started working for the University of Pennsylvania in September of 1998 as a telemetry RN. Moved to the cardiac surgery ICU in 2000 as a RN. In addition to bedside nursing I was an instructor for new to practice ICU RNs in PENN's Gateway program. Graduated with my MSN as an acute care NP in 2008. I worked as a NP in the MICU at PENN Presbyterian Medical Center from 2008-2014. I have worked with CV Surgery as a NP since 2014. This was first a duel in patient / out patient role and now I strictly work in the out patient setting and have been the lead clinical coordinator since 2020. Spending 20 of my 25 year career with cardiac surgery has given me oppurtinity to see its evolution and have an understanding of what are clinically siginificant standards a patient needs to meet in order to be optimized before and after cardiac surgery.
