Dr. Stiles is Professor and Chief of Thoracic Surgery and Surgery Oncology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Health System. He is also the Associate Director for Surgical Services at the Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center (MECCC). Dr. Stiles is a clinically busy surgeon, who also leads a comprehensive translational and clinical lung cancer research program. In the MECCC, he is the Lung Cancer Program leader of the multidisciplinary Integrated Imaging Program for Cancer Research. Dr. Stiles is actively involved in multiple investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored clinical trials and clinical lung cancer research projects. He has built translational science programs around neoadjuvant and and adjuvant trials to determine predictors of response to therapy and as well as biomarkers associated with disease recurrence, with a particular focus on disparities of care. Dr. Stiles also holds several national and international leadership positions including serving as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Lung Cancer Research Foundation, Co-Chair of the AATS Foundation Advisory Council, International Director of the European Society of Thoracic Surgery, and past Chair of the IASLC Communications Committee.
