Scott Oh, DO is a Professor in Clinical Medicine at UCLA. He grew up in Southern California and after spending time in Boston returned to Los Angeles. He trained in Internal Medicine at GLAVAHS where he also served as Chief Medical Resident. He initially focused on benchwork working on eukaryotic DNA repair mechanisms followed by identifying candidate tumor stem cells in malignant pleural effusions prior to transitioning to clinical medicine. After completing Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship through Cedars Sinai Medical Center Dr. Oh obtained further training in Interventional Pulmonology through the Harvard Program and returned to UCLA where he served as Section Chief. He grew the program to 6 faculty and expanded the section's research footprint. He also established the second Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship in the Western US for which he served as Program Director. Education has been a focus throughout his career leading numerous educational initiatives locally and nationally. His current interests include lung cancer, robotic bronchoscopy, multi modality therapeutic bronchoscopy for malignant and benign disease, and the development of medical devices to facilitate these interventions.
