I started with Thoracic Surgery after comprehensive surgical education and completing specialty of visceral surgery, I have the permission for Education for Thoracic Surgery (leading a fellowship program -full range), we have a service with the complete spectrum of Thoracic Surgery. I started with minimally-inviasive thoracoscopic surgery in 1991, and with robotic surgery in 2003. We are certified for the interdisciplinary treatment of myasthenia gravis, and we have performed more than 1000 robotic thymectomies. We refined the operation technique and published extensively on that topic. Among our scientific intentions is the improvement of the evidence-based treatment of myasthenia gravis. I am responsible for surgery in the medical advisory board of the German Society for Myasthenia Gravis. Actually we renewed the German surgical guideline for the treatment of myasthenia gravis. We organized masterclasses and international conferences on robotic and uniportal thoracic surgery.
