I am a current second year general surgery resident at the University of Wisconsin. Following general surgery residency, I plan on pursuing a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship with current interests in general thoracic surgery. Since joining the Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin, I have been mentored by Dr. Andrea Axtell, a thoracic surgeon within the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. My current research interests are centered around general thoracic surgery with a focus on improving thoracic oncologic surgical outcomes particularly within lung cancer. Prior to beginning general surgery residency, I completed a combined MD/PhD degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan.
